Pallet calculator
Floor area alone does not tell you how many pallets fit. Aisles, racking type and clear height decide it.

The assumptions
- Usable floor is 55% of gross for this layout. Aisles, cross-aisles, dock aprons, offices and fire lanes take the rest.
- Each rack level allows 0.15 m for the beam and lifting clearance above the load.
- Clear height is measured to the lowest obstruction — sprinkler, duct or haunch — not to the roof apex.
- Pallets are assumed to be the same height throughout. Mixed heights waste a level.
This is a planning estimate. A racking supplier's drawing against the real building is the answer you build to.
